I grew up in Glenview, Illinois and attended Glenbrook South High School and then Duke University. My travel career began around 1990. My husband was building a hotel ownership and management company and we traveled extensively around the world to learn about the hotel business. I wanted to share that knowledge as well as a love of travel with others. Active and more adventurous types of travel always interested me. I have been trekking in Nepal, Bhutan, South America , and Europe, as well as biking all over the US, Europe and Vietnam. But always I like to end an active trip with a restful stay in a luxury property!

I find that once I have visited a foreign place I am so much more aware of what is happening there and also have a better understanding of it.
