I have been in the travel industry for more than 35 years. I feel it is so important to experience other cultures, to step outside of your own way of life and learn about different religions, taste new food, listen to new music. These things stay with you far beyond your return home. It is also comforting to know that a smile and laughter are universal and are always wonderful things to share.

Most memorable travel experiences: Bungee jumping in Queenstown, South Island, New Zealand; ballooning over the Serengeti in Tanzania; attending a funeral ritual in Tana Toraja, Sulawesi, Indonesia; riding a camel while viewing the pyramids of Giza, Egypt.

Bucket list destinations: Safari with my family, gorilla trekking, yacht around the Greek Islands, Morocco, view the Northern Lights
